Privacy Policy
Rain Gutter Rescue LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or request a quote, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you send a form on our website, such as a quote request, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number and email address, and, if you add them, your service address and a description of what you need. If you send us your details after an instant estimate, we also keep the job details you entered (the service, the length of gutter or number of downspouts, and the height of the house) and the estimate for them. We also record when you sent the request, which page of our website you sent it from, how you first reached our site if the rg_src cookie described under "Cookies and similar technologies" holds it, and the country your internet connection comes from, which our hosting provider estimates from your IP address.
Quote requests sent through our previous website, before September 17, 2026, also recorded your IP address, your browser details and how you reached our site (the referring website and campaign tags), and we still keep those.
When you send a form, we use your IP address to limit repeated submissions, and we send it to Cloudflare to confirm the check described under "Cookies and similar technologies". We do not keep it with a quote request sent through our current website, with one exception: if you tick the box to receive text messages, we record, as proof of your consent, when you sent it, which version of our consent wording you were shown (our website keeps a fingerprint of it, and GutterGuild keeps the wording itself), your IP address and your browser details. Our website passes that record to GutterGuild, the system we use to manage customers, which keeps it for us. Our website then deletes its own copy of your IP address and browser details as soon as GutterGuild has them, and in any case within 30 days. The short record of requests described next may also contain your IP address.
Our website keeps a short record of each request made to it, including page visits and form submissions, to help find and fix problems with the site. The record is kept for up to 7 days in Cloudflare's logging service, in the account of RunGutter, the platform our website runs on. It includes the address of the page you asked for, including any campaign tags in it, your approximate location (such as country and city) and internet provider, and it may include your IP address and browser details.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website sets one cookie of its own, called rg_src, and only when you arrive from an ad or campaign link or from another website. It holds the campaign tags in that link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content), Google's click ID (gclid) if the link came from a Google ad, the address of the website you came from (the site only, never the page), the page you landed on, and the time. Only our website can read it, it is not used for advertising, and it expires after 30 days.
Your browser sends the cookie back to our website when you visit. When you send a form, our website reads what the cookie holds and keeps it with your request, including the copy in our customer system, so that we know how you found us.
The forms on our website use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a request comes from a person rather than a bot. It runs as soon as a page with a form loads, whether or not you send the form: your browser connects to Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and details of your browser, and it may use cookies or similar storage on Cloudflare's own domain, challenges.cloudflare.com. When you send the form, our website sends your IP address to Cloudflare again to confirm the check.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to our pages. It sets no cookies. It records the address of each page viewed (without any campaign tags), the address of the page that linked to it, how quickly the page loaded, and your browser, operating system, type of device and country.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Our pages work without them. The check on our forms may not work if you block all cookies and site data; if a form will not send, call us at (385) 331-4342.
How we use your information
We use your information to prepare and deliver your estimate, schedule and perform services, communicate with you about your request, and operate our business. We do not sell your personal information.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to text messages, we use your phone number to send service-related messages (such as quote delivery and follow-up, scheduling and appointment reminders, technician arrival, service updates, and post-service review requests). SMS opt-in is optional and is never a condition of purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for full program details.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate our business, and only as needed to provide our services to you. They include Cloudflare, which hosts our website, protects our forms and delivers the emails our website sends; RunGutter, the platform our website runs on, which stores each quote request and sends it to us by email; Hostinger, which hosts the email inbox where those emails arrive; and GutterGuild, the system we use to manage customers, which prices our instant estimates from our rate sheet (from the job details alone, before you give any contact details), keeps a copy of each request you send us, sends our text messages for us, from our number (385) 331-4342, and connects, records and transcribes our phone calls, through its communications provider, Telnyx. They handle your information on our behalf. To place your service address on a map, GutterGuild also sends the address alone, without your name or contact details, to public mapping services such as the US Census Bureau's geocoder and OpenStreetMap. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests until you ask us to delete them; nothing deletes them on a schedule. Copies are also kept in our email inbox and, for requests sent from October 1, 2026 and some earlier ones, in our customer system. We keep the record of your consent to text messages in our customer system until you ask us to delete your information. The short record of requests described above is kept for up to 7 days, Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps page-view statistics, without your IP address, for up to six months, and the rg_src cookie expires after 30 days.
Your choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us using the details below. When you ask us to delete your information, we delete or permanently blank it in our website records, our email and our customer system. If you gave us a phone number, we keep that number only as one we must not text. Some copies we cannot delete expire on their own: the short record of requests after up to 7 days, our email providers' logs and previews of the emails our website sends us (which show your name and phone number) after about a month, and the recovery backups of our website database and our customer system after up to 30 days.
